If I had to describe the White Horse I would call it a hipster honky tonk. There's live music every night of the week and you'll usually find people two-stepping and waltzing to country music on any given night. Generally you will find variants of Texas-style country music being played here but you will also find blues, zydeco, bluegrass, and Texas blues rock. Dance lessons are offered here multiple times per week.

There's live music every night of the week and you'll usually find people two-stepping and waltzing to country music on any given night. Generally you will find variants of Texas-style country music being played here but you will also find blues, zydeco, bluegrass, and Texas blues rock. Dance lessons are offered here multiple times per week.
My favorite music venue in Austin. It has a large outdoor stage, at the back of the viewing area is a deck with a bar and picnic tables. Inside is a smaller stage for bands that play after midnight and another bar.

Don't let the fact that this is a food truck fool you. These guys offer up some of the best Italian in Austin and they are nestled in with Butterfly Bar and the Vortex Theatre. It's a great spot to eat on the patio before grabbing some drinks and seeing a show.

This is the trailhead for the South Walnut Creek Bike Trail. It's a 10.5 mile one-way paved bike trail that takes you all the way to northeast Austin. If it weren't for a few overpasses that you go under, you would never know you were in the city limits.

This newly constructed gym is the largest indoor bouldering-only gym in the world. It has some of the best padding I've ever fallen on and the routes are great for first-time rock climbers, those who have climbed for decades, and everyone in between.
