(Geared towards timid beginners like myself, and friendly, fun, non-intimidating instruction. The lessons are filled with mostly nervous out-of-towners, and the instructors make sure that everyone loosens up and has a great time.)
Cheap deals on local beer, pool table, great outdoor patio, and a good ol' honky tonk vibe.

Best local, funky shopping and great restaurants. Stop by the "I Love You So Much" graffiti wall and have your picture taken, and grab a taco from Guero's while you're at it. Walk though Uncommon Objects and I dare you to come out without spending money on some bizarre Texas consignment trinket.
