This quirky downstairs flat, makes a fabulous base deep in the Peak District, it is very close to the Monsal Trail, beautiful walks on your door step. There is a bus stop 50meters away, The Anglers Rest is a riverside pub with great food 500meters downstream. There is space to bring your bike into the flat or locked up in the bike shed. There is no parking onsite as the car park is shared with a clinic in the building and the neighbours. There are normally parking spaces approx 100meters away.

A delightful, self-contained former coach house, in the garden of our Grade 2 listed Georgian family home. Located on the edge of the Peak District, and a three minute walk from the local train station. The Little House is perfect for solo travellers or couples. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are provided, along with a welcome breakfast pack which includes, eggs, granola, fruit juice, bread or croissants, butter and jams. A small selection of condiments are also available. The front of the property has a decked area which leads into an entrance porch with a WC and wash basin. The open plan ground floor includes a comfortable lounge area, with a TV, DVD player and free wifi. The full kitchen includes a gas hob, a combination microwave oven and dishwasher. A small bistro table and two chairs are also provided for dining inside or out. The mezzanine bedroom features built in wardrobes and en-suite wet room. It has a double bed, with a new deep, firm and comfortable mattress. You are welcome to park your car in front of the Little House and use the courtyard area for seating. We have an EV charger for electric / hybrid cars which can be used at the additional cost of 20p per kWh/£1.40 per hour. We are generally available to meet, greet and help out during your stay. We have many great places to eat out in the town, or to buy takeaway food; including English, Chinese, Italian, Indian and great fish and chips! For amazing food, art, music and culture, check out Sheffield City Centre; home to the Lyceum Theatre, the Crucible Theatre, the City Hall, numerous art galleries, museums and a couple of independent cinemas! Dronfield is an historic market town with medieval barn, 14C Parish Church, and heritage walks. A sports centre with swimming pool and gym, range of shops, pubs and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. For vintage & antique lovers, the Antique Quarter in Sheffield; the Flea Market in Chesterfield, and Dale Road, Matlock are recommended. Cycling is very popular in this area and we are 4.5 miles to Owler Bar, the gateway to the fantastic Peak District locations of Baslow, Chatsworth, Hathersage, Castleton, Bakewell etc. There are regular buses to Sheffield and Chesterfield. Details can be found in the info file. Trains run throughout the day directly to Sheffield and Leeds to the North or Chesterfield and Nottingham to the South. Connections can also be made for the Peak District and other towns and cities such as York, Manchester and Derby.

Rambler Cottage was completely renovated in the summer 2019. We think it is about 200 years' old with lots of character. The cottage is situated in a conservation area of Bradwell in the rolling hills of Hope Valley, Peak District National Park. The village and surrounding areas are breathtaking. Castleton is a 30 minute walk away or 5 minute car drive where you will find the infamous Mam Tor. You won't fail to have a relaxing holiday here, unwind and recharge those batteries.
