We named Moon Bay Cottage for our favorite time to visit, when the moon is full, and the moonlight shimmers on the waters of Penobscot Bay. Colcord Cottage is a quintessential summer guest cottage that is located in Searsport on Penobscot Bay. Enjoy ocean views from almost every room, watch the changing tides, listen to the waves while you sleep and explore the beach. The recently renovated cottage is conveniently located, walking distance to the village, only an hour from Acadia National Park, 10 min.to Belfast, 30 min. to Camden and 40 minutes to Bangor. We are taking extra measures to clean and disinfect our cottage.

This charming spot overlooking the bay is laid back and welcoming. Fully furnished, including linens, basic beach supplies —towels, chairs and umbrella. There is wi-fi and a Roku TV included (you will need your own streaming accounts), an air conditioner, and balcony with a view of Penobscot Bay. We strive to be an allergen free space so do not allow animals. We use all essential oil natural products (bleach disinfectant where needed) and natural laundry soap for our linens.

Short drive will bring you to Camden Hills State park for hiking and site seeing.

A delightful location on Penobscot Bay, 1/2 mile form Lincolnville Beach and a five-minutes drive from Camden, with its picturesque harbor, full of sailboats from around the world and its own schooner fleet. Trail heads, accessing Camden Hills State Park, are just a few minutes away. Views from the high points in the park are renowned for their extraordinary beauty and expansiveness, inspiring artists and poets for generations.

You're 20 feet from the beach ,and a 10 min walk to town.We have recreational kayaks you can use to paddle about the bay and up the river. With a shabby-chic decor, lots of windows & light, the cottage will steal your heart & give you a Maine experience to remember!
