Umatah fait partie des anciennes briqueteries d'État qui ont été fermées dans les années 1940 après que leurs excavations aient touché une source souterraine. La propriété fonctionne selon des principes biologiques et dispose d'un verger de manguiers, d'un rucher, de lits de légumes et de divers autres arbres fruitiers et à noix. Il y a un grand point d'eau, des jardins paysagers et une brousse indigène sans fin.
