Dorrigo National Park, part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area offers stunning scenery that has been millions of years in the making. The park contains a range of forest types that protect an enormous variety of animals and birds, like red-necked pademelons, the vibrantly coloured wompoo fruit-dove and the spectacular regent bowerbird. The Rainforest Centre has an educational interpretation centre. From here you can take a stroll on the popular Skywalk walkway and lookout platform over the escarpment edge for a close up view of the rainforest canopy. The boardwalk takes you over the top of the rainforest canopy, providing magnificent views over the rainforest, down to the Bellinger Valley and sometimes as far as the Pacific Ocean.

You'll enjoy breathtaking wilderness views of the Great Dividing Range unfolding before you looking south. To the east, you'll see the Pacific Ocean and, on clear days, right down to Kempsey some 100 kilometres away. Located among farms, the lookout point has an interesting interpretive display sign and picnic tables. Nestled beside the Bielsdown River with incredible vistas of the plateau and located approximately 1km from the centre of Dorrigo, this is one course you will want to come back to. The course is a nine-hole par 64 layout with bent grass greens and different tees for the front and back nine. It’s generally very playable after heavy rain due to the free draining soils and elevated position. The many varieties of deciduous trees on the course make it look very different depending on the season. Click Here to see video The club house sits on a hill overlooking the course and offers tasty snacks with bar service attended to by friendly club volunteers. The club house can be hired for birthday parties, weddings, wakes, training sessions, meetings or other special events. Capacity is currently limited to 30 people due to COVID-19. There are motorised golf carts available and golf clubs for hire. Visitors, social clubs and new members are very welcome. Members and staff of the Dorrigo Golf Club look forward to welcoming you soon.

Bike riding around Dorrigo

Deer vale loop road is just right outside your door and you can ride through Deer vale nature reserve and come out 25km onto Waterfall way . The views are spectacular. The just a short few km on waterfall way & enjoy a smoothie in one of the cafes. Pack up your bike and explore Dorrigo and ride out on the new path to Danger falls North Dorrigo: ride the loop of old coast road, breath taking views and relatively quiet Whiskey Creek road is also another ride and enjoy the adventures of lots of country roads. Biking in Dorrigo is fun and definitely keeps your hear pumping , then relax your tired muscles in our mineralised bath under the stars....
