It is in the back of an Antique Emporium. So, when you park and walk into the emporium and are thinking to yourself, “this can’t be right”, it is. Just keep going. It will be worth it. The food is DELICOUS! The have a pretty patio and have free live music most Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights starting at 6pm.

There is also a dance hall in Walnut Springs next door to Blackies called the Rattle Snake Ballroom. It is a fun little town to bar hop.

Full Menu and Full Bar – Great bar food. I recommend getting the Toad Burger. It is served on a homemade jalapeno bun (the bun is not spicy)

Phil the owner and wine maker is a joy to chat with! He knows wine. The wine here is delicious and high quality. The tasting room is in the town of Hico not actually on their vineyard.
