GREAT steaks and service! Worth the drive! They also have a location on the Glen Rose Downtown Square but serve a different menu. Both have full bars.

There is no better place for local color than Blackies in Walnut Creek. Open Thursday - Saturday, with a grilled steak dinner by reservation Friday and Saturday nights. If you go, tell Dobber High Hope Ranch sent you! If Dobber isn't there, he is probably at his new place, Blackie's Too on the square in Glen Rose

Its about 15 min away and not to be missed! You will know you are there by the truck on the roof. Also, go across the street to Yellow Rose Saloon for antiques and live music as well as Rattlesnack Ballroom for more live music and dancing.
