This is the cutest hidden gem in the area. It's only a little place but they have the BEST food in the area and are especially famous for their tomato basil soup. They also have wonderful salads, wraps, and sandwiches. Their Jamaican Me Crazy coffee is very delightful.

The Der Dutchman serves Amish food. Some of my favorites there is the fried corn mush on their breakfast buffet as well as their long johns (creamsticks) filled with bavarian creme.
They have a wonderful salad bar as well as hot bar for lunch and dinner. When I order off the menu, I usually get their grilled chicken breast which is very delicious!

Our Story
Dan and Judy Garver purchased the Baltic Mill building in autumn of 2013. In the time between then and the winery opening in October 2014, the new owners renovated and readied the building for business.
Many of our visitors will remember The Baltic Mill as a bulk food and gift shop. Since purchasing the building, The Garvers have stripped the building of the added shelves and walls exposing the features of the original Flour Mill. Upon entering the main seating and tasting room, you’ll notice chutes and machinery that have been preserved from the early 20th Century. If you walk upstairs, you’ll be transported to the past. The mill machinery remains the focal point of the second and third floors. The Flour Mill’s steam engine still rests in the cellar where it was once used to power the milling process all those years ago.
Baltic Mill Winery offers delectable, handcrafted wine in a breathtaking historical setting. Stop in; we look forward to serving you!

Come and view the work of David Warther, a fifth generation carver of Swiss heritage, who is continuing his family's carving legacy in the center of Ohio's beautiful Amish country.
The carvings created by David are intricately fashioned of antique ivory, ebony wood and abalone pearl. Each of the 83 works (and counting!) is heavily engraved through the art form known as scrimshaw. David works daily in his on-site workshop where he is creating the "History of the Ship" from 1st Dynasty Egypt, circa 3000 B.C., to the present day. This unique art collection-museum forms an artistic and highly educational exhibit that culturally enriches all who view these extraordinary works of art.
The Gift Shop at David Warther Carvings has become a destination in itself with visitors stopping in regularly to see what Leona, our gift shop manager, has brought in as new seasonal gift ware, clothing and home decor.
Visitors find Amish made brooms and furniture that live up to this area's reputation for quality merchandise at a reasonable price. Children's toys, games and puzzles are just some of the things your little ones will enjoy! Gifts for men are mixed throughout the store which has its emphasis on unique home decor not seen elsewhere.They now carry the famous Warther Cutlery, which began in 1902, when David's grandfather made his first paring knife.
