This is a great little 2-story museum dedicated to the history, preservation, and education of how the Swiss and Amish settled in Sugarcreek. Many interactive/audio-visual exhibits and amazing artifacts. Very worthwhile.

Located in Downtown Sugarcreek, Ohio the Alpine Hills Museum is the perfect first stop on your Amish Country adventure. There is no admission charge and you will get to see a short video on the Amish Culture, and the Swiss immigrants' impact on the area's rich history. Your tour continues through numerous audio-visual displays that take you back in time to an 1895 fire house, a 1900's Amish kitchen, an 1890 Swiss cheese house, an early wood shop, and even an early newspaper printing shop. Many more artifacts and exhibits also await you. Victorian clothing to multiple military uniforms and much more are on display in the museum that's raved by many to be "one of the best museum's they have ever visited!". Be sure to play our Alphorn before you leave! The Sugarcreek Information Center is located in the front lobby with all the brochures, maps, and up to date information you will need while visiting "The Little Switzerland of Ohio".
