The views are well worth the trip.

A short walk from the apartment up the hill along the tram track just beyond the Cathedral. This Belvedere sports a tiny church and a lovely tiled façade opposite the Tagus and the spawling Alfama District.

This Belvedere is not called the Doors of the Sun by chance. Wake up early (I mean really early), take the short walk up the hill from the apartment and watch magical the sun rise over the bay. Priceless.
