If you want to go for a bike ride, this is your spot. The Burke-Gillman is full paved and runs from Ballard all the way along Lake Washington towards Woodinville, ~30 miles.

Ballard has a great food and nightlife scene. If you go on Sunday you can catch the famous farmers market which runs year-round. Pike place market is fabulous but generally packed with travelers. Ballard Market is the local favorite :)
