Despite the fact that this is a chain, it's a cozy place with a great vibe, lots of books on the walls, full of students and former students reading and work and drinking coffee or enjoying tasty treats. Lots of seating, relaxed. A/C is on high during hot summer days and the fireplace keeps things warm on winter nights.

This is a small store that pre-dates the gentrification of the neighborhood. You will only find the very basics here. Nothing organic or too pricey. But the people who run it are friendly and it's open late - just a few minutes from my place.
