Jamaica Pond

The 1.5-mile loop around the pond is a beautiful walk any time of year, and the nearest part of the stunning "Emerald Necklace" of parks and ponds encircling Jamaica Plain. Full of aquatic birds, turtles, and other animals; a 9-minute walk from home.

A gorgeous pond with a jogging path around it, just a 15-minute walk from where you'll be staying. A blissful natural respite in a green corner of the city.

A five minutes ride brings you to this wonderful location. It's an easy walk around (about 1.5 miles) on mostly flat and paved ground. You can also bike on the trail. The views are very bucolic. Jamaica Pond is in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, and was first included in Boston's "Emerald Necklace" of parks in 1892. Many people enjoy walking or running on the 1.5 mile path around the pond. Street parking can be found on Perkins Street , on the pond's west side.

Beautiful pond which is a part of the Emerald Necklace, designed by the iconic landscape designer Robert Olmsted (of Central park fame). Take a jog from her all the way down to Fenway if you'd like.
