Beautiful scenery with numerous trails in the area. Timberline Lake, Windsor Lake and the Hagerman Tunnel trails are all great, easy lake hikes.

Five miles west of Leadville. In the summer, great for fishing, kayaking, boating, biking or sitting on the beach. This lake is ideal for rainbow, brown cutthroat and brook trout. In the winter, great ice fishing, snowmobiling, fat biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Five miles west of Leadville. In the summer, great for fishing, kayaking, paddle-boards, boating, biking or sitting on the beach. This lake is ideal for fishing with rainbow, brown, cutthroat and brook trout.

Want to fish, canoe, swim or simply dip your toes on a hot summer day? Turquoise Lake is the perfect place for that, only a 10 minutes drive from Leadville. For a car-accessible and family friendly spot, check out "Abe Lee Fishing Site" on GMaps, park along the road past the turn off Turquoise lake Rd and walk to the shore.
