you can walk down Magnolia harbor beach and access the reservation on a path at the end... trail through the woods leads to a big open lawn with ocean views all around

This is a beautiful walk that leads to the Great Lawn where you overlook the coast and water. This is a wonderful place for a family walk. You can easily spend some time here wandering the water line or picnic-ing on the historic lawn.
