Despite the diversions upstream in Colorado, river rafting the Rio Grande is still fun and a nice way to cool off during the summer. Easy runs start around Dixon, harder ones north of Taos.

If you'd like to take a guided kayaking or rafting tour, we recommend Los Rios River Runners. Their offices are conveniently located just outside of Ranchos de Taos.

One of the very best things to do in Taos is to do a river trip. The Orilla Verde is mild, the Racecourse more exciting.. but I highly recommend this trip. Tell Cisco Tara sent you.
