This ski resort nearby, snowbird also hosts Octoberfest annually and is a local favorite Octoberfest happens every weekend from August until the end of Oct.

A great skiing and snowboarding resort. Also in the summer ride the gondola to the top and hike down. Ride mountain bikes or the alpine slide.

Snowbird is not just great in the winter, but its also amazing in the summer. Wildflower season is July and August. Take the gondola up the mountain and go for a stroll. It can be steep at rocky at times but we brought our 3yo and didn't have any issues so its safe, as long as you are careful. Absolutely beautiful views though, even better than Park City mountain and worth the 45 minute drive (which is very scenic)

The resorts around SLC have some top-notch snow. If you need gear we tend to enjoy renting from the local REI. The resorts are Brighton & Solitude in Big Cottonwood and Alta & Snowbird in Little Cottonwood. Who can forget about the nearby Park City, Deer Valley, Powder Mountain, Sundance and Snowbasin.
