1.2-mile out-and-back trail. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 8 min to complete. Very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

Cathedral Rock is one of the most scenic hikes in Sedona with its breathtaking views from the top and one of the most popular landmarks in Arizona. Just a heads up: the hike is steep and requires a bit of climbing in certain spots. Although it is only 1.5 miles roundtrip, it is pretty strenuous, leading you up a moderately steep incline, but there is a beautiful reward awaiting you at the top and is well worth it! It is also a magnificent spot to enjoy the sunset!

Sedona’s number 1 hiking spot and sightseeing location- this is the main red rock monument to see. The street may be blocked but you can park at the Church (by the roundabout) and walk down.

Fantastic place for a short ten minute hike to the mesa for spectacular views or explore further trails up the precipice or down to the shady river.

Our favorite hiking trail in Sedona. Requires some scrambling on the steep parts, but most visitors are able to reach the top, which boasts a spectacular view.
