Just a couple miles from the Santa Fe Airport is an amazing ancient site full of petroglyphs. Easy to get to by car and a short hike later you are surrounded by amazing petroglyphs. There are hundreds of well preserved petroglyphs along a mile long stretch of cliffs. Be patient, as you have to look for each petroglyph.

These Pre-Columbian petroglyphs contain representations of birds, deer, hunters, and even some early Native flute players. The La Cieneguilla site is a short hike off the Paseo Real, and is home to one of the largest collections of Native rock art (called glyphs) in the American West.
