Nestling among the modern buildings of Tintagel high street, this unusual and atmospheric 14th-century yeoman's farmhouse, with a famously wavy roof, beckons the curious to explore. The name dates from the Victorian period when it briefly held a licence to be the letter-receiving station for the district. www.nationaltrust.org.uk/tintagel-old-post-office
The local food shop with quite a good selection of anything you might need. We'd recommend a big food shop before coming, but this will do for any extras.
King Arthur's castle is perched in a stunning location just outside the village of Tintagel. It is a fair drive to get there (the roads are pretty long and winding), but worth the trip. If you go, I'd recommend a trip to nearby Port Isaac too, which is probably better for food and drink than Tintagel itself.
