This is definitely a neighborhood institution in the Mission that’s been promoting local culture for almost 40 years. They host and arrange all different types of Latin classes, including things like dance, guitar, and Brazilian percussion. They also have a gallery, a huge mural, and a small theater which all together serve as a community hub of art and culture. On Tuesday nights from 8:00 to 9:00, I dance here at an event called Fogo Na Roupa. Anybody can come, and anyone is welcome to grab shekeres, bongos, or agogo bells and feel what it's like to be a part of this community.

SF's Mission district is home to incredible artists, musicians and dancers. If you visit over Memorial Day Weekend (last Sunday in May) come see the Mission's Carnaval parade, a celebration of Latin American and Caribbean music and dance!
