Great value for money in a basque cuisine restaurant, one of the best regional cuisines of Spain.

Across the street from Mercado de San Miguel, Pimiento Verde is a lovely place for lunch or dinner when you have a big appetite and feel like treating yourself. The portions are huge, so consider sharing a first and second course. The seafood risotto listed under "stews" is a must and is almost always followed by the grilled fish.
