Step back in time on a guided tour of Trial Bay Gaol, soaking up the history and the amazing coastal views that surround it. COST: Adult $11. Concession $8. Family $30 (2 adults and 2 children). OPEN: 9am to 4.30pm daily. Closed on Christmas Day. Self-guided tours are available all day and an entry fee applies. Allow about 1 hour to explore the gaol.

A lovely safe beach, less surf, but great for the paddle boarders. Swimming gorgeous .

Trial Bay Gaol was a remarkable effort to incentivise prisoners to improve themselves whilst incarcerated. Ahead of its time. The Gaol today is a museum, with many thoughtful presentations and examples of what life was like. Get your photo taken in a prison cell!
