Pourquoi les habitants le recommandent

Celebrating 30 years in 2017, this hawker-style restaurant is as popular as ever. The food is incredibly cheap, and the har mee—prawn noodle soup—is the stuff food dreams are made of. There are about a dozen different varieties of laksa on the menu as well, alongside other Malaysian staples like char kway teow, or stir-fried rice cakes. Malay Chinese has daily specials, and the har mee is only available on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Wednesday is nasi lemak—coconut rice with egg, sambal, fried anchovies, toasted peanuts, and cucumber—and Thursday is beef noodle soup.
