Not free, but cheap and close, what else is there to say? If you find yourself wanting to stay close-to-dome for a day, this is a great place to swim, kayak, canoe or just relax on the beach.

Family friendly, clean beach. Bring a chair, a good book, and let the kids swim and dive or slide off the wharf. Small admittance fee per person and refreshments sold on site.
