This pub has history…it was once frequented by East End gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray (and run by their mum). It is now a friendly local, with traditional wooden panelling and cream walls (and a fireplace), which stocks around 50 bottled beers and 10 draughts, both local and international. It also serves decent British pub food (try the Black Pudding Scotch Egg) until 10pm. We like to go on a weeknight, or early evening, when it has a lively atmosphere, but you can get a seat (it is packed at weekends).

This is simply a perfect little pub with decent reasonably priced food with good wine and ale. The pub was owned by the infamous Kray twins who were notorious gangsters in sixties London.

My favorite local pub. Also does a great traditional Sunday roast dinner.
