Camp Cronin is a top hidden gem in RI to sit on a quiet beach, walk along the rocks or pick a fishing spot to cast your fishing rod. Located next to the Point Judith Fishermen Memorial.
Visit the Fisherman's Memorial, a local lookout point, to soak in the views, set up a blanket on the sands inside the Harbor of Refuge to relax, or venture out onto the jetty to try to catch stripers running with the tide (use extreme caution, never go alone).
A bit of a hidden gem, although it gets more popular every year. There are no lifeguards or concessions. It’s a popular beach with fishermen and a great spot to bring a bottle of wine and watch the sunset. There is no charge to park or walk onto this beach.
Most RI beaches don't allow dogs at any time during the summer, but nearby there's usually a pet-friendly fishing area. Camp Cronin is one of the nicest: it has a little sandy beach with a great view that you and your pup can relax on for hours. It's also right around the corner from the Point Judith Lighthouse and a short drive to Iggy's and Aunt Carrie's, two of Narragansett's most popular seafood dives.
