Salona was an ancient metropola and capital city of Roman province. It was founded much earlier than Split, around 3rd century BC. Only left today are the ruins of the city. It even has ruins of amphitheather. There is also a museum you can visit. Salona is placed in the city Solin on Manastirine and you can get there by Uber.

Manastirine-here was buried the Salona's martyr bishop Domnio, killed in the Diocletion's prosecutions of Christians
