Good affordable food, refuge from the shopping streets and flower market. Large brown cafe with views over the water.

Come here for lunch, coffee or something stronger all day long. But be prepared to fight for a spot on the Amstel-side large terrace in the summer… Upstairs becomes a restaurant after 5.30pm. Nieuwe Doelenstraat 20-22. 5 mins walk from house.

De Jaren has a great terrace on the water in the middle of the canals. Also good for lunch and dinner.
