Despite the collapses, the view of the Pedres Castle from the north still makes it seem mighty and impregnable today. The castle characterizes the entire southern part of the Olbiese basin, entirely dominated by the building despite the fact that it stands on a rock of only 89 meters.

It is a building dating back to the Middle Ages, built from typical local stone in a truly strategic position. In fact, its function was mainly to defend the territory of Civita and the borders with the Giudicato of Torres. The castle is reached via a small dirt road, where the outline of the fortification can already be seen, with the only remaining erected tower of the original four. The view from here is fantastic, from the plains to the city of Olbia. The castle is open every day free of charge to visitors and guided tours can be requested on payment.

Castle on top of a hill with great views. A few steps to reach the top but worth it for views of Olbia. Opposite you can also find the Tombs of the Giants, an ancient spiritual rock formation.
