Very nice food and drink right in the heart of the rebuild. Lovely family-run restaurant. Great for outdoor drinks too.

Lovely restaurant with a bar below in one of the few old brick buildings to survive the earthquake.

The restoration of the lone brick building on High Street is impressive, with its low ceilings, exposed brick and pressed tin fit out, Joska and Sons copper light fittings, beautiful wooden furniture.
