No trip to Portland would be complete without a ferry to one of the islands - Peaks (rent bikes or golf cart and tour island, bring picnic lunch) or Chebeague (same)? or the mail boat where you stop at several islands. Incredible value!

This can be a great outing. Take the boat as an inexpensive way to explore all the cool islands in Casco Bay. There is a mailboat ride if you just want to go for a boat ride and if you want to explore the islands you can get on and off at all the islands.

Casco Bay Lines offers a wide array of tours. They offer cruise tours, group tours, weddings, lobster bakes, private charters, etc.

Take the ferry out to Peaks Island. Commuter rates ($7 round trip) rent a golf cart and be so enthralled by this island life that is so close yet so far from Portland.

Take a ferry ride to Peaks Island. It's fun and inexpensive to go explore the island. It's also the easiest way to tour Casco Bay.
