A popular thing to do in Colorado is hike the 14,000ft mountains. They call them 14ers. This is an easy drive and an easy trail to hike. It is just outside of the historic town of Georgetown and offers stunning views.

Trailhead 50 mins from the Hideaway: 7.8-mile out-and-back trail near Idaho Springs, Colorado. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 5 h 10 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

This is one of the 'easier' 14-ers to climb in CO - get up early and go, as it gets crowded near the middle of the day, you'll also want to be off the mountain before the afternoon T-storms roll in!
