Pacific Grove is known for a lot of things but Monarch Butterflies is certainly one of them. Check out the sanctuary if you have the time!

Arriving in October, the Monarch Butterflies cluster together on the pines and eucalyptus trees of the Sanctuary. Their migration to Pacific Grove is so unique that Pacific Grove is nicknamed "Butterfly Town, U.S.A."

You can experience the Monarch butterfly migration and overwintering form October to February.

A bit further up the road is a stopping place for Monarchs in migration...amazing even if the monarchs aren't there...

Their migration to Pacific Grove is so unique that Pacific Grove is nicknamed "Butterfly Town, U.S.A." The community has always welcomed the butterflies and advocated for their protection.
