20 min from us. Beautiful park for sitting close to the river and eating a picnic. There is a walking path that brings you to some large beautiful and accessible rocks in the river. It's lovely to sit there and listen to the sound of the water. (No public restrooms). PS: Woodfin Riverside Park is 5 min south from this park, and the Woodfin park has restrooms and a shelter in case of rain.

Ledges is a small very private park in Woodfin. It has a walking path, picnic tables, grills, and benches to just watch the French Broad River rush by you. A good place to meditate.

River access, grills, picnic tables, fishing. A North Carolina fishing license is required in all Buncombe County Rivers and Lakes.

This one is more of a kayaker thing. If there's water, this is an excellent play spot. But it's also a plenty nice place to hang out by the river for a bit. There are grills for barbecuing, and some folks use it as a swimming hole when there's plenty of water.
