If you're looking for fresh, local food, you'll have a great time here. There are no certified organic growers, but there are several who are nevertheless actually organic or better. Ask around. The Market meets from May through October. But there's more.... Little Town Gardens in Gibbon has greenhouses that supply fresh produce throughout the winter. They have partnered with other small, area cottage industries to provide jams and salsas, bread, farm-raised meats, homemade tortillas, fresh-roasted coffees, and many other items. They deliver in Kearney once a week.
