This long-time favourite of ours was recently awarded a Michelin star and rightly so! For a special treat we go for the 8 course tasting menu (last time we went it was £55) but they have a la carte options too. The atmosphere is unpretentious and relaxed and the food is unforgettable. A short walk from Bristol city centre or a 15-20 minute trip in a taxi. Book in advance.

if you want a treat go here; they do a set tasting menu for about £50 a head I believe? It’s a tiny place, with great service and great food. If you go here, pop to the Kingsdown Vaults for a drink before (lovely pub around the corner)
