Café Kailas is on Siltasaari, an island with a rich cultural history in the middle of the Heinola, by the big river and amidst a landscape that is well known for its beauty. The café building was completed in the 1920s, and it represents the classical style of the era. The old gazebo was renovated for its current use, with respect for the original spirit and architecture of the building. In its services, Café Kailas follows the traditions of Central European café culture. Handmade coffees, snacks, and beverages based on Continental cuisine. Savoury and sweet coffee bread are always served fresh and made with the best raw materials. Open only in the summer time.
